FUTSAL 2017-18

The primary goal is to enhance players’ skills and abilities. The futsal ball, which is smaller and has less bounce, requires better control and accurate first touches. The limited size of the futsal court encourages players to practice dribbling, passing, and receiving under pressure continually. This frequent practice, which can occur about 210% more often than in outdoor games, contributes to the development of strong technical skills.

CLEATS GUIDE FOR FUTSAL

Technical Skill Development

Pre-travel programs focus on key technical skills —such as ball control, dribbling, passing, and shooting —under the guidance of experienced coaches. They introduce basic tactics such as spacing, movement, and transitioning in a game-like setting. Repetitive drills and small-sided games enhance motor coordination, balance, and agility —essential skills for all sports.

Tactical Awareness & Decision-Making

Indoor fast-paced play forces players to make quick decisions, boosting their reaction time and foresight. It develops spatial awareness and game reading, helping players anticipate moves and find open spaces. Transition skills are emphasized, enabling quick defense and attack shifts, which are essential in both futsal and futbol. It also offers an excellent setting for learning tactical concepts, such as support angles and give-and-goes, in small groups before applying them on a larger field.

Better Athletic Development

Futsal enhances agility, balance, and coordination, sharpening the “ABCs” of athleticism. A pre-travel program, led by professional coaches, creates a supportive environment where players learn from mistakes, focus on effort, and build resilience and confidence. It introduces players to higher-level coaching and competition, serving as a stepping stone to more competitive settings without the full financial and time commitment of a travel team.

A pre-travel futsal program fosters players’ love for futbol and encourages passion and growth by emphasizing enjoyable, skill-oriented games and offering opportunities for “free play” and creativity.
